Married 44 years with 4 adult children, 27-37, and seven grandchildren, 8-17. We have a 5 year old orange tabby named Scutter.

We recently moved to Calgary from Edmonton (still Oilers and Eskimos fans) and are not sure yet if we like it here or not. I recently retired from my job at the library due to a stress injury.

I am a committed cross-stitcher. I have been stitching since the late 1980's and even have my own licence plate - STITCHR - so everyone else can see my obsession :)

I also do scrapbooking; have been updating all my old photo albums and am up to 1991. I knit afghans for the grandchildren but am behind on that too and recently pulled out an old latch hook kit to work on.

I have been doing a fair bit of genealogy as well, researching my family and that of my husband.

I am an Oilers hockey fan, an Eskimos football fan and a Blue Jays baseball fan, all in their own seasons. I also love to watch curling. I am an avid Stargate fan and also enjoy Star Trek.

My favourite TV shows are currently Stargate Atlantis, Stargate SG-1, Jeopardy, all the CSIs, NCIS, Without a Trace and Cold Case.

I have been reading a lot of Terri Blackstock lately; she is a Christian writer of mystery books. I just finished reading Mary Higgins Clark's newest, I Heard that Song Before and thought it pretty good. Now I am reading a Stargate Atlantis paperback.
